Unhide your photos or videos using the original device, copy them somewhere safe and check that the copies open. Only then uninstall, clear app data or reset your device. A new installation cannot restore content that was only on the old phone.
Does my recovery email back up my hidden media?
No. PIN recovery and media backup are different. The recovery email is not a cloud photo or video account. Hidden media is stored on the device.
I forgot my PIN. What should I try?
Keep the existing installation and data intact. Use the app’s PIN recovery option if it is available and was configured. Check the recovery mailbox and spam folder. If this does not work, contact support with the app and version; do not send us your PIN or private files.
How do I hide or unhide items?
Use the app’s import or hide action to select media and an album. To restore items, select them in the locker and choose the unhide or unlock action. Labels vary by app version. Check the destination and confirm the restored files are readable before removing backups.
The app will not open or my files appear missing.
Do not uninstall, clear data, use a storage cleaner or delete hidden folders while investigating. Describe the change that happened before the problem, such as an Android update, a device transfer or a storage cleanup, when you contact support.
Can I use a cleaner on the hidden storage folders?
No. Treat hidden locker content as important app data, not disposable cache. Older installations may use .pl or .vl folders. Android storage behaviour has changed across releases; do not move or alter those folders as a troubleshooting experiment.
Why does the calculator widget not open my locker?
Use the Calculator(PL) or Calculator(VL) widget included with the corresponding app, not a separate calculator app. Follow the widget guide. If it still does not open, preserve the installation and contact support with your app version, Android version and launcher.
Can support recover files deleted from my phone?
Handy Apps does not keep a cloud copy of your hidden media. Recovery cannot be promised. Preserve your existing device and backups, avoid further destructive actions, and describe what happened to support.
